Muffled Upright Piano

I sampled my Kawai upright piano with the felt muffler in place. I recorded samples with mics at the back of the piano and then again from the front, facing the hammers. I made these samples into instrument racks for Ableton Live.

There are 5 racks in total. Two for each mic placement, one of which features 5 layers of round robin by using samples from neighboring keys. The back mic has roughly 10-20 different samples for every key from C1 to C5 at different velocities. The front mic has closer to 10 samples per key. There is also an extra drone rack made from 3 of the samples.
